Sunday

I forgot to share this a few weeks ago when it arrived in the mail. I ordered it from Peggy at Hidden Haven Homestead. Inside the goat tote bag is a vaniila scented candle made from goats milk, vanilla scented lotion from goats milk and soaps also vanilla scented and from goats milk. This gift is for my mom, but Peggy was nice enough to include an extra bar for myself and I have been using it. Not only does it smell great but my skin is very soft.
I did some more cleaning yesterday after I woke from my 3 hour long nap:) My body must have really been tired and needed the rest. I still need to clean the oven but I am procrastinating that job. Last time I cleaned my oven I cut the top of my forearm deep enough to leave a scar. My oven is electric:( and something in the top of the oven was sharp enough to do some damage.
I wanted to ask what others electricity bills are. Mine came in the mail yesterday and was $46.00. During the summer it was only $63.00 when running 2 air conditioners. I am from California so I know how high electricity run's in that state. I couldnt believe how low it was when I moved to Oregon. Although my home is only 960 sq. feet. and I dont have a washer and dryer and I hand wash my dishes even though I have a dishwasher. When we moved here it was only supposed to be temporary until we found a bigger place, but once we started looking we realized how hard it would be to find a place that allows pets and that is not negotiable, my pets go where I go. I do pay $25 a month extra here but thats fine with me. He said I can have farm animals if the city will permit:)
I must go get ready for church, Have a good day!!!

I'd gladly trade electric bills with you! Ours runs around 250.00 in the summer (central AC). I'll have to get back to you with a winter bill total because I forgot what it was running us last winter. We have a wood stove and rarely turn the heat on so it is a lot cheaper in the winter months.

Ok I'm going to attempt again to write this comment. It disappeared the first time.
Our electric bill is over $100 a month and I think the highest it was this summer was just under $130. Everything here is electric except the gas range and the heat (which we have not used yet). We ran a room sized air conditioner all summer and do use a washer and dryer as well. I think the bill is very high for just the two of us being here. The bill will go down in the winter but I imagine the gas bill will go up when we start using the heat. So, there's no winning here.

Ours is around $100 in the summer but only around $30 in the winter as we heat with wood. I do use the washer and dryer in the really cold months but it still stays around $30.

Our summer electric/gas bill runs about 250 a month during July, August, September. We have our central air on for about 18 hours in the day and keep it between 70-74. I also run my washer/dryer daily & have a big storage freezer out back. In the autumn/spring months it's usually between 85-125 a month. If it cost more in California then it's well worth the cost. I don't think I could ever move away from northern California. What's the website for goat products? I love goats.

Your lucky. We have a two story and we have two ac units. It was over that before.I hate giving that kinda money to them, but it is to hot here not to run the ac most of the time. We have very few cool months.

Hi Dana,

My power bill runs 300.00 all summer long. Right now it is down to $250.00, but we are still running our air conditioner. Can't wait for cooler weather!

Neat stuff you got from Peggy. I am going to have to check her site out.

Hi Dana :)

I wasn't sure how to contact you because I didn't think you were getting your emails through Etsy. I had sent 2 and just wanted to make sure you had gotten your teas :)

Ok, I don't feel so bad about my large electric bill after reading the other comments.
