my new arrival

My sewing machine arrived yesterday and now I have to figure out how to use it:( It is really small but I think it will do what I need it to do. I guess I should go buy some thread:) I need to print a doll outfit pattern just something basic. Making doll clothes sounded like a good idea last week:) I have a bible study with the older ladies, Im making chili and corn bread so I better go get started. Talk to you all later

After work I was looking at the pattern books at Walmart. In the back of the McCall's book they have tons of patterns for 18 inch dolls like the one you bought. All the patterns are at a discount price as well. Just thought I'd let you know.

You asked what you can get to get for sewing. Walmart has a basic sewing kit for probably around $10 that has sissors, pins and everything you need to get started. I would start with that. Make sure it has a needle threader in it, it makes it so much easier to thread the sewing machine needle. If it doesn't you can buy it separately and they are really cheap. You may want to find out what kind of bobbins the machine uses and pick up a few extra ones of those if they don't already come with the machine. That way, you don't have to keep changing the bobbin thread, you can just thread a new one. If you have any more questions, just ask.
Have a good night.
