Going on Vacation

Im leaving tomorrow morning at 4am. We are traveling 500 miles to go see our family that we have not seen for over a year. Talk to you guys when I return. Dont forget to pick up your award.

look what my dog did

My 72 pound dog Biscuit was laying on the couch with me when he noticed a squirrel outside so he stepped on my stomach and jumped off of me to pursue the squirrel. This is the bruise that he left on my stomach. Pretty bad huh? This happened 3 days ago but I did not notice the bruise until yesterday.

Our hike

Last Saturday we went with our friends to hike a mountain. This mountain has a few paths to choose from and the one that we picked was 1.8 miles up. We only made it 3/4 of the way. I thought I was going to have a heart attack. So we headed back down and took a different path that lead to water. We had a nice time and will keep trying until we make it to the top. This Saturday I'm going to take the dogs, maybe they can just pull me up.

Yesterday we had to drive to Portland so Ave could see a pediatric stomach specialist. The drive to the hospital and the land that it sits on was just absolutely beautiful. When we were done we decided to ride the tram.

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY !!!!! I had a knock on my door yesterday and it was the flower delivery gal. Flowers from my mom and dad:) I hope all you moms out there have a wonderful day, even the moms of fur babies ;)

still waiting

I still have not received a call from the doctor about his test results. They must not be back from the lab yet or she would have called. I don't want to bug her so I will keep waiting patiently. This picture is from his stomach and the other picture is from his side. Biscuit is doing well. Yesterday I changed his shirt into a Marylin Monroe t-shirt and with out me noticing he peed on it:( poor baby wore a peepee shirt for half a day. I finally noticed it was yellow last night so I cleaned him up. Taking off the bandages was torture for the poor boy. They used tape to tape them on his fur. He is staying bandage free, I wont put him through that again. He keeps trying to lick the stitches but the t-shirt helps to keep him from doing that.

Avery has her "bridging up" class today at girl scouts. She will be going from a brownie to a junior. Changing from brown to green. After that class we are going to go to the senior retirement living place and perform a "May Pole" dance for them. I don't know too much about the history of the dance. I think it is to celebrate spring. I had a nice visit with my hubby. Last time he was home I had PMS and for some reason I can not cook the week before my period. All my dinners were horrible the last visit so this time I had to redeem myself and my cooking. I did:) he was pleased again:) My Mothers Day plans are simple, church then out to eat. Nothing spectacular. I don't want to cook so the kids and I will go out. Okay my ladies have a great weekend and a Happy Mothers Day!!!

Look at my poor son:( He has a bandage under his belly also. I'm waiting for the results to come back, it should be today. I was very upset last night thinking of the worse case scenario. Biscuit is all drugged up on pain pills and I had to put a t-shirt on him so he wouldn't chew his bandages off. I don't like those E-collars so his doctor suggested that. He also had his teeth cleaned. The total came to $ 1200.00. I paid $253.00 :) If you have a pet I would recommend putting them on the wellness plan at Banfield Pet Hospital, located inside Petsmart. I save alot of money. Okay I'm off to walmart. I will post an update as soon as I get some news.

Biscuit is going to have a lump removed this morning and have his teeth cleaned. Let's pray the lump is not cancer. My friend Karina from church who is also my daughters Sunday school teacher was diagnosed on Monday with cancer of her lymph nodes. She is only 38 and has 2 young children. Please say a prayer for her. Justin is coming home this morning. Just until Friday, I will pick him up after he delivers in Portland. I have to go now to drop off Biscuit so I will be back later to visit. Happy Wednesday:)

I don't like it when I'm all alone. Ian is gone for the weekend and Avery is staying the night with a friend. Justin is sleeping because he is doing midnight driving so I cant talk to him on the phone:( My leg is healing slowly, it hurts when I walk. My bedroom set is here. The delivery men didn't offer to put my mattresses back on so I did it myself and ended up scuffing the wood. i was so mad at myself. I should have waited for Ian to get home so he could help but I just wanted to put it all back together. I'm so terrible with posting pictures. My room is so small and Justin's ugly cigar humidors have to sit on my dresser and night stand:( He needs to find a stand for them. Today Ave's school had a jog-a-thon, that's where they get pledges from friends and family to pay a certain amount for each lap they run. It is a fundraiser. I volunteered to mark the kids tags as they ran by. The max laps allowed was 20 which was equivalent to 5 miles. Avery ran/walked all 20 and raised 120.00 for her school. Yesterday I noticed another, yes another lump on my dog so I took him back to the vet and thankfully it was just a reaction to his lyme disease vaccine. On May 6th he is having a lump removed from his belly. I will try to get some pictures posted this weekend really I will. Have a nice weekend:)
